On the edge of your seat ...

Look out J. K. Rowling, you have some serious competition here!  Lex, Henry and Gabrielle have written dramatic stories about a cave and from the opening phrase, they have you hooked.  Their vocabulary choices, punctuation and story structure are worthy of going into print and the content will have you on the edge of your seat.  Excellent writing, folks!

Bug Olympics

Oliver has been doubly clever this week.  First he had to find rhyming words that he could use to describe what happened at the Bug Olympics.  Then he had to use them to create this fantastic poem.  What a genius, Oliver - well done you!

Ty's Treasure Trove

Ty is a double achiever this week because she has been teaching Mrs Jolly how to read the words in her special treasure box.  They are both working really hard and I was amazed by how many words there are in the box altogether.  Fantastic work, Ty!

Rhyming under the sea

Chanya, Holly, Kellen and Oslo have been having a go at writing rhyming poems. They have used what they have learned about life under the sea, have added adjectives to make their poetry interesting AND included rhyming words at the ends of the lines.  Fab work, folks!

Sensory emotions

These children have been doing some very deep and creative thinking this week.  They have been talking about a wide range of emotions and then each chose one to describe using their senses.  What very mature pieces of work Ty, Lacey, Jack, Zach, Alfie, Eleanor, Connor, Elsa, Sophie, Millie and Erin!

Chariot racer

In Olivia's class, they have been learning about the Olympics in the past and about how one of the events was chariot racing.  Olivia chose to go into the Messy Area to create this fabulous horse and chariot and attach them together.  You should be very proud of your model, Olivia!

New teacher in town!

Arman is a double achiever this week because he has been helping Deer and Foxes to learn about Islam over the last few weeks.  His teachers and HLTAs have been very impressed by his wide knowledge and his very mature teaching style, and the children have been talking very enthusiastically about their new teacher.  Great news, Arman!
