Me, me, me!

Sasha, Lucas and Reuben have put an enormous amount of work into their autobiographies - and it really shows.  They have included lots of details and describe anecdotes to interest the reader.  What a lovely book to keep!

Oliver!

It really shows that Mia and Levi took their time over their descriptions of Fagin's Den.  They have used some very mature descriptive phrases and beautiful similes to create an atmospheric impression of the scene that met Oliver.  Super work!

Read all about it ...

Mr Santy has been very sneaky with his success criteria for this piece of work, but Caitlin has managed to meet all 10 points when writing a newspaper report about the discovery of King Tut's tomb.  This is very convincing writing, Caitlin, and I really felt I was reading news that was hot off the press.  Well done you!

Fit for a Pharaoh!

If you ever need to build a pyramid, these are the chaps you need to see!  Dylan and Erhan have used Book Creator on the iPads to compile a list of clear and detailed instructions about the steps you need to take to build and finish a burial site fit for a pharaoh!  A brilliant illustration of your learning, boys - well done!

Perfect project!

This is a beautiful project that Isla has produced about her favourite dinosaur - Stegosaurus.  It is neatly laid out, and contains informative text, a variety of pictures and accurate diagrams.  It ticked every one of the success criteria and was most interesting to read.  A fabulous piece of work, Isla!

Relishing reading!

What a fantastic effort Dylan has put into his reading this year!  He has been practising his reading as often as he can so that he can read a wide range of books quite easily now, including some from Roydon's must-reads.  Brilliant work, Dylan!

Most convincing!

Dylan and James have been putting into practice all they have learned about persuasive writing.  By including rhetorical questions, connectives such as 'however' and 'although', and percentages, they have each produced a very convincing letter that states their point of view.  Well done, lads!

Dramatic dramas!

Here are two people who have looked carefully at their success criteria and produced amazing pieces of writing that are packed with adverbs, adjectives, Powers of Three, and 'Polishing Pen perfections'.  Well done, Abi and Elliot, for such descriptive story endings!

Dear Ethel ...

Mr Santy was very impressed by Lylie's letter sent from the Front during World War 1.  Her writing really showed how much she has learned already this term, and her use of interesting sentence structure and vocabulary choices made her work stand out.  Well done, Lylie!
