This is England!

Dovydas has been learning all about London.  It is very tricky for him because he speaks Lithuanian at home, so we are really pleased that he is so good at learning to say and write English words.  Well done superstar!

New newshounds

What atmospheric accounts Sammy, Alisha and Gracie have written!  They have used lots of the information that they have learned about volcanoes to create newspaper reports that really capture the drama and misery of an eruption.  Great work, girls!

Did you know ...?

Squirrels have been learning such a lot about tigers this half term, and they have made fabulous models and fascinating fact sheets to show what they have found out and how much they have been enjoying this topic.  Well done Oliver, Harley, Jude, Tiegan, Autumn, Veronika, Lauren, Rachel, Emily, Chloe, Ellie, Lilli, Luke, Lyzander, Leo and Lucas!

Doubly clever!

Sian is working really hard on adding.  There's no catching her out when it comes to doubling numbers up to ten because she knows exactly how to work out the ones she is trying to learn by heart.  Superstar Sian!

HOT off the press!

Travis, Josh, Amy and Summer are our latest reporters to write newspaper articles about the recent volcanic eruptions!  Their reports include quotations, facts and illustrations, and are written in a realistic reporting style.  Great work, newshounds!

Missing!

Alfie and Gabriel have been learning about adjectives.  They have used some fabulous describing words and phrases to create a 'Missing' poster about Mummy Owl.  I do hope someone recognises her from their brilliant descriptions so that the Owl Babies will get their mummy back!

Explosive writing

Lexi, Jack, Finley, Connor and Harley have used lots of the information they have learned this term to make these informative leaflets about volcanoes.  They are beautifully presented and illustrated, and show just how much the class is enjoying this topic.  Well done, people!

Volcano leaflets

Lexi, Zach, Amelia and Zak have been finding out about volcanoes and have used the information they have learned to make these brilliant leaflets.  They are written so that the reader really wants to discover more interesting facts - and it works!  Great stuff, folks!

Accurate angles!

Ryan is taking his maths very seriously, and his hard work is really paying off.  He has impressed Miss Leftley with his understanding of acute, obtuse and reflex angles, and he was the only person to complete all the homework tasks.  Great news, Ryan - well done you!
