The worst night of their lives!

You would really feel as if you had been in the Great Fire of London yourself if you had read Isobel, Kevin, Connor, Harry, Eleanor, Lexi or Justin's account of that terrible night in September 1666.  Superb vocabulary choices and a variety of sentence starters really helped to add to the suspense and describe how frightened people were.  Well done, folks!

Wheelchair rounders!

Who would have thought that someone with a broken leg could achieve so much in a P.E. lesson?  Jack has made sure that he has joined in with all the learning, despite being in a wheelchair, and has enjoyed finding ways to overcome his difficulties and take part.  Great determination, Jack!

Ollie worked really hard on his racket skills during the P.E. lesson this morning.  Mrs Davies was very pleased with how accurately he could hit the ball and catch it.  Great news, Ollie - well done you!

Home or abroad?

Grace, Summer, Oscar, Kieran, Joshua, Darcie and Fritha are our new travel agents and they have some more tempting offers for our summer holidays.  You only need to flick through their brochures to notice the huge amount of information they have included about entertainment, accommodation and food, and the beautiful pictures and illustrations.  Where shall I go ...?

Happy holidays!

Kellen's first piece of fabulous work was a description of everything he would need to take to St Lucia with him, and he used what he has learned about the island to explain why.  Then he has written a fantastic letter to convince me that the whole class should be allowed to visit the island.  I'll just have to ask the governors ...!

What a lot Adam and Oliver have achieved in their lives so far, and what fascinating reads their autobiographies make!  They are beautifully written and illustrated, contain so much interesting information and made me laugh - a lot!  These are brilliant homework projects, chaps!

Here's a very proud gentleman, and no wonder!  Max has been practising his reading every day in school and at home.  He is very enthusiastic in his group reading sessions and showed this in his latest assessment.  Great news, Max!
