Olympic writers

Bethanne and Amelia have been learning about Olympic sports and have written great sentences about what you have to do to be a football or swimming champion.  What detailed descriptions you have produced ladies!  Well done!

I spy with my little eye ...

Look at this amazing writing that Caitlin has done!  She has thought carefully about all the things she can see and hear on her journey to school, and then used her phonics to write them all down.  What great spelling, Caitlin - well done you!

Problems, problems!

After reading the story 'The Way Back Home', Alfie, Phoebe, Belle, Justin, James and Amy had to write their own version about a crab, a parrot or a polar bear.  Each of them has found a most imaginative way to solve the animal's problem and has described the events perfectly.  Lovely pieces of writing, folks!

Poetry perfection!

Nicole has used EIGHT adjectives in her poem.  First she had to think about the local area, then she had to write down what she could see and hear, and then she had to turn her ideas into a fabulous poem.  Super work, Brainbox!

Accurate angles

Miss Stannard is super-impressed with these ladies' understanding of angles.  They have proved that hard work, clear thinking and checking your calculations all pay off.  Fabulous work, girls!

The Way Back Home

Squirrels have been writing their own versions of 'The Way Back Home' about Boy meeting different characters in different settings and solving different problems.  Abi, Luke, Charlie and Chloe have used wonderful words and phrases to interest the reader and they have followed their story plans so carefully.  Great work, folks!

Confident Counting

Look at this superstar counter!  George can count in 2s and 10s so confidently I completely forgot that he was in Reception!  He has been practising lots and lots at school, and at home with ALL his friends and family.  Well done, George!
