Our Royal Correspondent

What a lot Brandon knows about the Queen!  He knows how many bedrooms there are in Buckingham Palace, and what the Queen wears when she has tea, and how she manages not to get lost in her palace, and ... well, everything you need to know, really.  AND he wrote a fabulous postcard - and THAT'S why he's a special achiever!

All aboard!

These two gentlemen have worked together to make this amazing train and have then each written a sentence about it.  If you need a train to North America or France, book a seat on one of their trains and you will be sure of a safe journey!  Great job, lads!

Super subtraction

Ollie is a genius with a number line!  He did these take-away calculations all by himself and in record time, and can explain what he did.  This is a fabulous achievement, Ollie - well done you!

Wonderful work

This piece of writing was sooooooo amazing, we had to show Miss Stannard and Mr Santy!  Imogen has used some imaginative adjectives and mature phrases to describe the after-effects of a volcano explosion.  We are thinking of moving her into Year 6!  What a superstar!

Once upon a time ...

Charlie is very proud of the dinosaur story he has created using Book Creator on an iPad, and so he should be!  There are pictures, text and sound to tell the reader what happened.  This is a fabulous piece of work, Charlie!

Run away!

Sian and Ruby have been learning about volcanoes in their class and have drawn these super pictures to show how they erupt.  The girls can also talk about what happens and how this affects people who live nearby.  Well done!

Taking responsibility for our learning

Isla and Mia really are taking responsibility for their learning.  They have chosen to take home extra comprehension exercise to practice showing their understanding of a wide variety of texts.  This is certainly helping them with their understanding of what they read.  Super news, girls!

The lady with the lamp

Darcey, Freddie, Igor, Lucas, Bailee, Codie, Lexi and Willow have shown how carefully they have been listening in their recent work about Florence Nightingale.  These letters show lots of details about hospitals during the Crimean War, and really do explain how gruesome conditions were.  Well done, folks!

Down under!

Blossom, Ethan and Amelia have been looking very carefully at aboriginal pictures of Australian animals.  Their accurate drawings and Amelia's model show that they have noticed lots of details about emus, duck-billed platypuses and snakes.  What great art work!
