Tudor times
What an amazing piece of writing from Leon this week! His sequence of sentences and his use of time vocabulary very clearly describe his experiences during the class visit to Kentwell Hall. Your work shows how much you enjoyed your Tudor day, Leon. Great effort!

Artistic Tallent!!
I don't think there's any doubt which is the better piece of artwork! Matisse's representation of a snail inspired Ruby to use torn pieces of paper to create this picture of Greedy, the class pet. I reckon it could sell for millions. Well done, Ruby!
Where in the world ...?
Well, you learn something new every day! Millie has convinced me to holiday in Kefalonia this year even though I'd never heard of this beautiful island. Her clever sales pitch, amazing descriptions and superb pictures make her brochure irresistible. Great work, Millie!

Dear Diary ...
They may not look like Elizabeth I, but Sebi, Chloe, India, Alisha, Amelia and Sophie's diary entries would certainly convince you that they are! They have used some fantastic phrases and vocabulary choices to describe the way she would have felt with the Spanish Armada approaching. Superb writing, folks!

Unaccustomed as I am ...!
What an eloquent young man we have here! Miss Stannard was exceedingly impressed by the standard of Joseph's presentation about squash (the sport, not the drink!). He put a lot of time and thought into the planning and preparation, and then delivered his talk using prompt cards. You showed a great level of confidence, Joseph, well done!
A read a day ...
This really is the most perfect example of teamwork! At the beginning of the year, Caitlin asked for some extra help with her reading and was paired up with Emily. Whatever has been going on in school they have made it their priority to read EVERY SINGLE DAY, and Caitlin's reading has come on in leaps and bounds. Well done, girls, for taking this so seriously!
The worst night of their lives!
You would really feel as if you had been in the Great Fire of London yourself if you had read Isobel, Kevin, Connor, Harry, Eleanor, Lexi or Justin's account of that terrible night in September 1666. Superb vocabulary choices and a variety of sentence starters really helped to add to the suspense and describe how frightened people were. Well done, folks!
Wheelchair rounders!
Who would have thought that someone with a broken leg could achieve so much in a P.E. lesson? Jack has made sure that he has joined in with all the learning, despite being in a wheelchair, and has enjoyed finding ways to overcome his difficulties and take part. Great determination, Jack!

Next stop Wimbledon!
Ollie worked really hard on his racket skills during the P.E. lesson this morning. Mrs Davies was very pleased with how accurately he could hit the ball and catch it. Great news, Ollie - well done you!

Home or abroad?
Grace, Summer, Oscar, Kieran, Joshua, Darcie and Fritha are our new travel agents and they have some more tempting offers for our summer holidays. You only need to flick through their brochures to notice the huge amount of information they have included about entertainment, accommodation and food, and the beautiful pictures and illustrations. Where shall I go ...?

Happy holidays!
Kellen's first piece of fabulous work was a description of everything he would need to take to St Lucia with him, and he used what he has learned about the island to explain why. Then he has written a fantastic letter to convince me that the whole class should be allowed to visit the island. I'll just have to ask the governors ...!
