Dear Father Christmas ...

Nicole and Oliver are keeping their fingers crossed that Father Christmas reads their beautiful letters and brings them just what they are hoping for.  Fantastic phonics, you two!

Star struck!

If you had seen the Christmas performance this week you would never have guessed that these two superstars are in Reception.  We are all so proud of how grown up they were as they performed on stage in front of so many people.  Well done both of you!

Double superstar!

Charlie is a double superstar!  Now, not only can he write his name all by himself recognising all the letters, but he can also read five key words with no help at all.  We are sooooo pleased with how hard Charlie has been working. What a clever man!

Meet Grace Darling and her father!

Elle and Alfie had to write a first-hand account as either Grace Darling or her father describing the night they rescued all the stranded people from the sea.  Miss Willer was very pleased with the way they used interesting vocabulary to make their journals really gripping to read.

Once upon a Christmas!

Joshua, Charlie, Lucas, Bailee, Tiegan, Willow and Maisie have each made a real bound book that tells the Christmas story in words and pictures.  We are very impressed by how hard each of them worked and how much detail they included.  Fabulous work!

Most convincing!

Dylan and James have been putting into practice all they have learned about persuasive writing.  By including rhetorical questions, connectives such as 'however' and 'although', and percentages, they have each produced a very convincing letter that states their point of view.  Well done, lads!

Darling superstars!

What stunning journal entries Katie, Aidan and Harry produced.  They made amazing vocabulary choices in their accounts about Grace Darling to make their writing so interesting to read.  Well done, folks!

Dramatic dramas!

Here are two people who have looked carefully at their success criteria and produced amazing pieces of writing that are packed with adverbs, adjectives, Powers of Three, and 'Polishing Pen perfections'.  Well done, Abi and Elliot, for such descriptive story endings!

Careful and neat

Callum and Oliver have been practising their handwriting and Miss Willer thinks this piece of work is the neatest she has EVER seen them produce.  Well done lads for making sure all your letters were the same size!
